just in case you are still interested in Team Taye...

We've moved! Or rather the blogging in our family has been taken over by Amy. For the last year she has been writing a "mommy blog" about crafting and homeschooling.

Samuel James

Samuel James Taye arrived Tuesday November 6th at 6:40 PM!  Things happened pretty fast (we checked in to the hospital at 6:23). He weighed in at 8 pounds 15 ounces, and 20 inches long.  Mom and baby are both doing very well, in fact they were able to come home on Wednesday.

Abi and Max are very excited to have a new baby brother and enjoy holding, patting, and kissing him.  Grandmama Hodges in town to see Samuel and help out, and we just got back from a kid-thrilling, treat-filled visit to Coscto.  Here are some pictures of the little guy:

Chair Painters

Amy found these chairs cheap on Craigslist.  Abi helped me paint them black so they will look nice with the new dining room table I'm building.

We've had a lot of apples around here, and a lot of (yummy) applesauce.  Max likes the peeler.

New Dishwasher

I installed a dishwasher.  It actually works, no leaks, cleans dishes.  Oh, and a happy wife.

Some video of the door-opening action (it took me a long time to figure this part out):

The annual company picnic had a carnival theme this year.  It was a big hit with the kids:
