If Abi gets the swimming from her mother, then she definitely gets this from her father:

Uh oh!

Does "uh oh" count as a word? If so, it's Abi's first. She even uses it in context--something falls on the ground: "uh oh!" We find her getting into something she knows is off limits: "uh oh!"

After many months of looking, we've had our offer accepted to buy a home. (This was the fifth house we put an offer on!) It's not a done deal yet, but things are looking good so far.

We took a trip to Idaho and Utah at the end of August. We had a lot of fun seeing family and friends in both states. Here are some pictures from our time in Boise:

(To follow up on our last blog entry: the inspections on the home we were going to buy found too many problems, so we backed out. We just found another house and put an offer on it, now we're waiting to hear if it will be accepted...)

Aunt Suzy

Here are some pictures of Abi from the last month or so. We had a fun visit from Aunt Suzy recently, so there are some pictures of that here too.

In other news, we've been looking for a home--we made an offer on one and it was accepted, so now we're swimming in paperwork, inspections, appraisals, loan applications, etc. More on that when we get a chance to take a breath. :)

Crawler

Abigaelle has become quite mobile in the last week or two. She's crawling and pulling herself up on everything. Now she just needs to learn how to get back down once she's up (somehow other than falling). Hopefully these youtube videos have better quality than videos we've posted in the past.

Who slapped the baby?

Abi has taken to sleeping on her tummy. At first we would flip her back on her back but she started to just flop right back over so we let her stay that way. The other day when I got her up from a nap I found that she had been sleeping with her face on her hand. I couldn't resist taking a picture of this:

Abi is crawling now and has started to pull herself up on things (just to her knees, not to her feet yet). We'll try to post some crawling video soon.

Fun on the floor

Abi is really starting to enjoy being on the floor with her toys. She's not crawling yet, but she's just about to. She turns herself around and scootches a bit. She's also discovering new tricks with her mouth, as you see in the (long) video.
